After navigation of IACUC, state permits, housing plans, experimental setup shake-out and so many other tasks this past year has held, we finally were able to start catching some birds! It feels amazing to have a bird in-hand again and get ready to collect data with it. We'll start with high-speed videography, metabolic measures, and bioinformatic tag testing. We can't wait to share what we find, but for now, here are some photos from the preparation process.
